We will drive to Snæfellsnes peninsula, which is dominated by the glacier Snæfellsjökull and where, according to Jules Verne’s book Journey to the Centre of the Earth, the actual entrance to the centre of the earth can be found. We will visit the tiny fishing hamlet of Arnarstapi with its rich summertime birdlife as well as the harbour at Hellnar, where a lovely little café is open during the summer months. The surroundings are magnificent with an abundance of basaltic columns and lava fields. We will continue our tour to some other interesting spots on the peninsula,
